Founded in the summer of 2015.

In the summer of 2015, four passionate individuals set out to expand Adventure Motorcycling in the Texas Hill Country. Wesley and Amy Ely and their daughter Aubrey and son-in-law Stephen founded Adventure Tejas Motorrad, LLC. Now, Adventure Tejas is taking its expanded vision to Mexico. Founded by a family united to introduce motorcyclists to the ADV world, our company is driven by a commitment to freedom, adventure and growth through service and learning.

Our Mission

Adventure Tejas is dedicated to inspiring and equipping adventure motorcycle riders to discover the world’s back-country roads and breathtaking landscapes. We are committed to advancing the sport of adventure riding (ADV) by fostering skill development and prioritizing rider safety. Through charitable engagement and community-focused initiatives, we aim to uplift those in need while forging lifelong connections and making a meaningful, positive impact on the lives we touch.

Meet The Instructor:

Wesley Ely

Wesley is a Certified Off-road Adventure Motorcycle Instructor, trained by the Enduro Action Team (E.A.T.) in Fruawalde, Germany under two-time Super Moto World Champion Bernd Heimer. He also completed Levels 1, 2, and 3, plus private training, with D.A.R.T. (Dragoo Adventure Rider Training) in Norman, OK, under BMW-certified off-road instructor Bill Dragoo. Wesley’s passion for motorcycles began in childhood, fueling his love for the thrill of two-wheeled adventures. Inspired by Neil Peart’s Ghost Rider in 2014 and captivated by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman’s Long Way Round and Long Way Down, Wesley embraced adventure riding, and his journey has been unstoppable ever since.
