Intro is a course designed to teach the basic foundation of riding large adventure bikes off-road. Useful and designed for riders new to off-road, up to intermediate level riders that have not previously attended formal training for big bikes or need a refresher. Step by step day one of the course will cover basics from proper warm-up and stance to peg-weighting, tight turns, braking, hill techniques and more. Day two will incorporate some more techniques built upon the previous days content. Included will be a mix of exercises like crossing obstacles, riding in ruts, navigating off-set obstacles and more. Course content is customized by class to meet student needs. 2 1/2 days, lunch on days one and two included. Sunday will be a 1/2 day ride on local roads with unpaved sections and various water crossings. Training location will be in Center Point, TX, between Comfort and Kerrville. Graduation ceremony & Certificates will be at lunch on Sunday, July 30.
Participants should bring and be prepared to wear helmet, gloves and strike-point protection (knees, elbows, etc.). Dual-sport or adventure-type motorcycle (any size) with 80/20 (pavement/dirt %) or better tires. Crash bars/protection and skid plate recommended. In the event weather conditions cause cancellation participants will receive credit for a future class or refund according to their preference.
